Are you an experienced modeling artist looking for your next project? Bardel's Vancouver studio is recruiting for a Senior Modeler to join the team. This position will work closely with the Asset Supervisor and the CG Supervisor to define the technical and creative aspects needed to create the appearance for CG models on a particular production. The Senior Modeler should be experienced with modeling assets for CG production.

What you will be doing:

  • Work with supervisors to create exceptional 3D models for characters, props, and sets
  • Collaborate with rigging team to ensure assets are built to achieve the intended animation performance requirements
  • Uphold the design direction as defined by the Art Director
  • Participate as a team member in determining various design and technical solutions
  • Work closely with look development artists to define technical and artistic requirements
  • Work closely with grooming artists to create fur and hair base geo
  • Demonstrate good written and verbal communication, as well as a collaborative & supportive approach to working with other team members
  • Actively participate in team / department meetings

What you bring with you:

  • 3+ years of modeling experience in animation / vfx industry
  • Excellent knowledge of Maya and Zbrush
  • Excellent sense of volume and proportions
  • Superior eye for anatomy
  • Good communication and organization skills
