VP of Production

Position Overview:

Provide creative vision, leadership, artistic and technical direction to all projects in the studio. Assess business aspects related to financing and production simultaneously. Manage the development, production, and post production of the company’s slate of films. Work with the CEO and Finance Director to ensure a successful alliance between the projected deadlines and the production budgets. Provide leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, production and budgeting efforts of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and direct the implementation of strategic business and/or operational plans, projects, programs, and systems.
  • Interact with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations.
  • Work closely with CEO & CFO to develop production goals and identify areas for growth company wide.
  • Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
  • Represent the company externally to media, government agencies, funding agencies, and the general public.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate department staff.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in animated film or TV 
  • Management experience a must
  • Strong, diplomatic communication skills
  • Detail oriented and able to visualize the state of the show
  • Create and track budgets, staffing schedules, burndown charts, and participate in recruiting and staff contract negotiations.
  • Extensive experience providing management on a televised series

Salary:

Due to the responsibilities and experience required for this position, annual compensation will be at $160,000.
